Vittoria

Vittoria is the youngest and the most populous municipality in the province of Ragusa; it is the seat of the “Cerasuolo wine Cooperative” and of the biggest fruit and vegetables market in Sicily.

The city tour starts from Piazza del Popolo where you can see the eighteenth century church and convent of Madonna delle Grazie together with the wonderful Town Theatre: one of the most beautiful examples of European neo-classicism, according to the American art historian Berenson. We will visit the splendid Mother Church dedicated to St. John the Baptist and the Colonna Enziquez Castle: seat of the “Cerasuolo wine Cooperative”. To conclude our tour I will show you lovely buildings and houses in refined Liberty style.
